Automation Maintenance Tech
Salary: $28-$35/HR (Depending on Experience)

We are looking to add an Automation Maintenance Technician to our team in the Austin, TX area.
The Automation Maintenance Technician role supports automation engineering services activities such as hardware and software design and development (non-production).
Required experience:
- Strong Electrical skills
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls skills
- Troubleshoot of manufacturing production equipment
- PLC knowledge
- Preventative maintenance
- Corrective maintenance
What a typical day looks like:
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components and return to serviceability
- Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance actions on all subsystems and related components
- Ensure preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment is completed on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Understanding of PLCs
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, and mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
- Analyzes engineering test results and implements changes to resolve problems.
- Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems.
- Records procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or method.
- Maintains software, documentation, and equipment to the latest revision or operational specifications.
- Assists engineers in developing and designing hardware and software required for all automation solutions per specifications.
- Trains other technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment.
- Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment
- Strong awareness of safety
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires an associate's degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience. Typically requires 2 years of related experience.
- Demonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees. Highly skilled with the ability to move between projects. Demonstrates broad knowledge of functional techniques and has input to process improvement. Applies new technologies and technological changes.
- Contributes to and improves techniques/ concepts. Assists in developing goals/targets of line or department.
