About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end development activities: site origination, negotiate agreements, and manage permitting and utility interconnections.
- Build long-term relationships with site owners, energy users, and other key stakeholders to drive project success.
- Communicate effectively with community members, local governments, and stakeholders to facilitate project support and permitting.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring development stays on track and within cost parameters.
- Oversee external consultants and support teams as needed to streamline project permitting and approvals.
Technical:
- 4-8 years of experience in the energy industry, focused on utility-scale projects
- Proven experience in land acquisition and strong relationships with stakeholders & governments.
- Extensive understanding of permitting processes & interconnection applications.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for project development tasks.
