Day Shift is 7:00am to 3:30pm M -F Potential to convert to FT Shift Coverage Rotates days to nights (7:00am to 7:00pm) and (7:00pm to 7:00am) Sunday to Wednesday Off Thursday thru Saturday Then Wednesday to Saturday Off Sunday thru Tuesday.
JOB SUMMARY
Provides electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting, repair and technical support for the entire facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Knows and observes all occupational and process safety guidelines and policies, environmental practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).This includes, but is not limited to: lockout/tagout, arc flash and confined space.
• Uses gauges and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and mechanic hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components
• Manages and maintains instrument calibration documentation and CMMS database
• Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of instrument application, operation and of the electrical and mechanical principles involved in repair, testing and calibration
• Maintains and calibrates process instrumentation devices, electrical power distribution and monitoring devices, VFD drives and motor control • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance including calibration, using data collectors, testing and diagnostic tools, and computerized maintenance management systems • Investigates equipment failures and determines root cause of failure • Participates in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns • Coordinates with production and other departments for feedback on the functionality of machinery and equipment to help resolve equipment problems • Reads and follows flow diagrams, mechanical configuration drawings and P&ID drawings • Conducts scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance of process and environmental equipment in accordance with the SOP, Safety Health & Environment policies, and current Good Manufacturing Practices • Calibrates, troubleshoots and repairs plant instrumentation , transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, relays • Disassembles, inspects, troubleshoots, cleans, repairs, and reassembles equipment such as ClientC’s, motors, instruments, valves, according to oral and written instructions • Assists in the development and ongoing improvement of the plant mechanical integrity program • Improves plant reliability by developing control methodologies and implements new technologies • Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all electrical systems and components in the facility. The electrical systems include, but are not limited to, field and lab instruments, ClientCs, VFDs and PLCs. • Provides technical support for the industrial Ethernet network and the HMI control system. • Installs and calibrates instruments, control panels and other electrical components for machines and equipment. • Manages instrument routine maintenance schedules. • Maintains CEMs equipment and Certifications. • Supports and installs 480V and 120V power systems.
• Available for on call responsibility during specified times.
• Cleans up area at the completion of maintenance and repair.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education equivalent to Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience or Technical diploma or certification in electronics
• Experience with Client PLC equipment and Wonderware factory automation software knowledge is preferred.
• 3 years of Electromechanical and/or Instrumentation & Electrical experience
• Working knowledge of Programmable Electronic Systems (DCS, PLC), and the HMI's that support these Job related work experience skills/knowledge requirements: (describes ideal and preferable experience but not the number of years)
• Mechanical and pneumatic aptitude
• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation , transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, relays
• Ability to work with a team to accomplish tasks/goals in a timely manner
• Ability to perform
