The Communications team at Arthrex is growing with our StudioX and we are actively searching for a Multimedia Designer II. This position will be located on our corporate campus in Naples, FL. Main Objective:
As a Multimedia Designer you will support the media production department and collaborate in designing compelling graphics packages as well as an array of other asset types through visual design.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using images, typography, color and composition, introduce improvements to the aesthetic appeal of our multimedia content.
- Collaborate with the producer and post-production supervisor to guide the creative process and design of video concepts, with the overall tone, special effects, and “feel” of the project in consideration.
- Align with the producer and the production team to orient the design aspects of a production with the department and company goals
- Assist in meeting pre-production, production, and post-production needs for motion graphics, visual effects, supporting graphics, layouts, and discussions over creative direction.
- Create assets from concept and see them through the development process before rolling out to our video editors and cinematographers for use.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in product management, the marketing department and the medical education department to produce well-informed, high-quality digital media.
- Cross collaborates and build relationships with marketing and the digital media, animation, AR/VR and graphic design teams to align project initiatives for consistent companywide “on-brand” looks used in our videos.
- Research and recommend current design trends, industry standards, workflow processes that are both emerging or available now in the creative industry.
- Evolve knowledge of post-production tools and best practices to align with media production goals
- Assist in leading design workshops and give presentations to lead the design vision, align design principles, and demonstrate video project prototypes.
- Communicate regularly with the producer and the project manager on project developments and statuses
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years of related experience or associate’s degree and 2 years of related experience required
- 5 years of experience in Adobe CC Suite required and content creation required
- 5 years of design layout and creation required
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Intermediate knowledge in the use of Adobe CC applications
Proficient in Maxon Red Giant Suite is preferred - Proficient in both Mac and PC
- Proficient in asset manipulation and creation
- Proficient in motion design and visual design practices
- Efficient in design layouts
- Efficient in creative concepting
- Knowledgeable about industry standards for compression and codecs
- Must be able to articulate and communicate design decisions
- Must be able to collaborate on a large production team with fellow teammates
- Must be able to meet assigned deadlines
- Intermediate knowledge of best practices for post-production workflow
- Intermediate knowledge of design layout and fundamentals
- Intermediate knowledge of templatized design process creation
- Intermediate knowledge of creative design problem solving
- Working knowledge of anatomy and anatomical terms of location preferred
- Knowledge of orthopedic surgery principles, theories, and products preferred
- Project management and communication skills training necessary
- Advanced knowledge of motion graphics principles
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time
