Position Summary:
The Resident Services Manager is responsible for the delivery of social services and life engagement services in Independent Living at O’Connor Woods. The position manages the Life Enrichment and Resident Engagement Coordinators, all campus volunteer program and Support Groups. This position works closely with the Resident Care Manager in addressing the psychosocial needs of IL residents and active participation in the Care Coordination meetings (CCM) to manage resident transition process throughout the continuum. This position also coordinates/manages on-campus presence of private caregivers in Independent Living (IL). The Resident Services Manager reports to the Executive Director.
The starting salary for this position ranges from $71,766 to $92,682 annually. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
Essential Functions Include:
- Coordinates IL resident services for OCW, such as resident transfers, personal resident needs, orientation for new residents, resident assessments and necessary documentation.
- Coordinates the implementation and monitoring of OCW resident life policies, e.g. Pet Policy, Motorized Policy, etc.
- Establish resident services program goals. Consistently track and measure program goal progress. Regularly report program outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders. Analyze and utilize outcomes data as the basis for continuous program improvement.
- Liaison between residents and OCW Administration
- Assists resident in locating supportive services outside of OCW.
- Addresses resident concerns as directly with residents or with other department heads as appropriate and necessary.
- Provides required training related to resident rights and resident confidentiality.
- Identifies and discusses resident care needs with resident’s families as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field of study preferred. Minimum of three (3) years combined training and experience in a Senior services community, minimum two (2) years supervisory experience required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and health care needs of the elderly. Understanding of multiple levels of care and the ability to assess residents appropriately for the correct placement. Knowledge of state and federal regulations as well as social service programs that might be available to the residents.
The final candidate must successfully pass O'Connor Woods' post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, COVID test, TB screen test and health screen. All new hires are required to sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment.
