We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead and execute the overall marketing vision for a dynamic Southeastern regional company. With diverse operations across manufacturing, finance, and retail, our client requires a marketing leader with a strong background in multi-channel strategies, brand development, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will drive initiatives that strengthen market positioning, support revenue growth, and unify branding across varied business segments.
In this role, the Director of Marketing will collaborate closely with executive leadership to align marketing objectives with company goals, enhance brand awareness, and implement innovative campaigns that reflect the company’s values and competitive strengths.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the marketing strategy to support business goals, focusing on brand positioning, market penetration, and retail division alignment.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering collaboration among in-house staff, contractors, and agencies.
- Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, events, and traditional platforms to maximize engagement and drive growth.
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including promotions and events, and maintain websites in collaboration with the corporate team.
- Partner with corporate manufacturing on go-to-market strategies for product launches, creating cohesive marketing efforts.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with vendors, retail managers, manufacturing teams, and industry leaders to drive mutual success.
- Guide impactful content creation and messaging, collaborating with leadership and corporate teams to align brand vision.
- Direct strategy and ensure consistency for 100+ social media accounts, overseeing branding and messaging.
- Develop compelling campaign messaging, including customer testimonials, advertisements, and promotional materials.
- Present innovative marketing ideas to retail teams, driving clarity and action.
- Establish SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency across marketing activities.
- Report monthly on social media and campaign performance, using insights to adjust strategies.
- Cultivate influencer relationships to enhance brand visibility through personalized promotions.
- Plan and execute industry events to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Develop training materials in collaboration with leadership to improve advertising effectiveness for retail sales teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong foundation in strategy and execution.
- 3+ years in a leadership role, managing teams and driving projects, ideally within the retail industry.
- Demonstrated success in crafting and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, engagement, and brand visibility.
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing platforms and tactics, encompassing social media, content development, and analytics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
- Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities to manage and inspire a diverse marketing team.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to assess performance metrics and refine marketing approaches.
- Financial acumen and experience with budget oversight to support informed decision-making and resource allocation.
- Proficiency with essential marketing and productivity tools, including Microsoft Suite, WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, Mailchimp, Power BI, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, and Text Request.
