Construction Project Manager - Falmouth, MI
12-month W2 Contract
Works with the Project Manager to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction project from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
Oversees construction site, general contractors to ensure a high level of quality and safety.
Review and Approve Safe Work Permits
Hold a Daily Safety Briefing, Coordinate site activities with Prime Contractor's Site Superintendent
Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices
Ensure quality workmanship and quality inspections are conducted. Retain and maintain a file of test and inspection reports
Identify, mitigate, and track construction issues
Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements
Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable and that tools and equipment are in good working condition
Maintain and update SOW and construction documents, and meet contract obligations by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendors
Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions
Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities/agencies
Conduct Pre-Start up inspections and maintain Pre-Start-up Checklists
Reports the status of projects to Management
Desired Skills and Qualification:
Working knowledge of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Construction, including utilities (pipeline experience a plus)
Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
Knowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods
5+ years of industrial construction experience required. Oil and Gas experience is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for quality
Good oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Construction, including utilities (pipeline experience a plus)
Education, Experience, Requirements:
Construction Safety Practices and OSHA regulations (30 Hour OSHA Training)
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or related field
