Tabernacle Christian School in Concord, California is seeking a full-time preschool teacher for our preschool program. For a full-time position, classes run from August through May, and includes a summer program, June and July. Our current opening may also be filled part time, during school hours only, August through May.

Teacher Position Qualifications:
6+ ECE Units.
Successful candidates will be energetic, nurturing, reliable, professional, and love young children. They will be passionate about teaching in a Christ-centered environment and enthusiastic about planning and implementing a curriculum for beginning learners. Teachers must have a strong background in a like-minded church and commitment to the Christian faith in line with the Tabernacle statement of faith.

Job description
- Work with team to create and implement set curriculum. Able to teach and fulfill all required duties for safe and effective operation of the preschool class.
- Provide a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow, while following Tabernacle policies and procedures.
- Reports to the preschool director.
- Supervise lunch, recess, and other events as assigned.
- Follow established protocols for preschool operations.
- Other duties as assigned by the preschool director.
Competitive compensation begins at $19.00 per hour for teacher’s aide and $22.00 per hour for teaching position. Teaching experience and education increases starting rate. Requirements
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
- 6+ Early Child Development Units (Required)
- Ability to learn new ideas, work in a progressive approach and have a team spirit.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children in a Christ centered Christian environment.
