Senior Project Manager Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the overall direction, execution and completion of a singular large-scale project or multiple mid-size projects. The SPM will develop, coordinate, implement, and manage all facets necessary to construct projects on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. This role provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the characteristics of a leader.
Select Responsibilities:
- Ground-up project delivery and successful outcome from pre-construction through closeout
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications
- Participate in the procurement process and develop project budgets and schedules and logistics plan
- Determine appropriate milestones and assign staff qualified to handle the scope and complexity of the project
- Provide leadership and support to the project team. Review and communicate on ASIs, RFIs and material submittals
- Coordinate and conduct required meetings
- Communicate directly with Superintendent and subcontractors concerning project costs, staffing, scheduling, and safety
- Maintain relationships with architects, developers, and subcontractors
- Participate in industry networking events and associations to promote the company and gain insight in industry/market trends
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years' experience in Project Management directly for a commercial General Contractor
- Experience on large healthcare construction projects required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and mentorship
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and/or Microsoft Project
