Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wheelchair Technician to join our team. This role involves delivering wheelchairs to clients, ensuring a perfect fit for each individual, and providing excellent customer service. The Wheelchair Technician will take measurements, assess accessibility in clients’ homes, and coordinate wheelchair orders and part replacements. The ideal candidate should have a clean driving record, a customer-first mindset, and a commitment to supporting the mobility needs of clients with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivery and Setup: Deliver wheelchairs and mobility equipment to clients throughout California, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Measurements and Fitting: Measure clients to ensure a comfortable and secure wheelchair fit. Measure doorways and access points to verify wheelchair compatibility in clients’ homes or other environments.
• Ordering and Inventory: Coordinate and place orders for wheelchairs and wheelchair parts, maintaining accurate records of inventory and requests.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with clients with disabilities.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of all measurements, deliveries, and service requests for accurate documentation and follow-up.
• Driving Requirements: Maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to safely operate company vehicles for equipment delivery across Southern California.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in measurements and fitting assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical skills in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with power wheelchairs
- Knowledge of mobility device safety standards and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Certification or training in mobility device repair is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are beneficial
- Ability to travel and deliver wheelchairs throughout Southern California.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and maneuver wheelchairs and equipment.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
