Responsibilities
- Model and create 3D visual plans for wire and conduit needed for the electrical installation.
- Collaborate with the Designer and aid in the decision-making (conduit routing, constructability, BIM model validation, model is to scale and fixtures are properly located) during the modeling process.
- Read and understand the technical/industry material requirements and ensure all codes and requirements are met.
- Validate designs to ensure correct application within the building process.
- Lead design efforts while ensuring cost, process and installation efficiencies.
- Run clash detection in order to identify issues prior to prefab and construction.
- Identify ways to drive greater efficiency and cost savings while ensuring the utmost integrity and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Beginner/Level 1 AutoCAD certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Drafting or Computer Technology a plus
- 1+ years of experience working as an AutoCAD Operator
- 2-3 years of experience working directly in Revit MEP or general modeling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using AEC Collection (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage) or other similar design software applications.
- Knowledge or experience in Revizto preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills any ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work well with others across varying work styles.
- Ability to handle all situations in a professional manner.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing workflows while meeting project schedules
