Job Title: Technical Project Manager (Healthcare)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong healthcare background and hands-on expertise in ETL development using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The ideal candidate will also have proven experience managing EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) projects. In this role, you will lead complex healthcare IT initiatives, particularly those focused on data integration, data warehousing, and business intelligence, ensuring successful project delivery from planning through implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of healthcare IT projects, especially those focused on Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), ETL development, and data integration. Ensure successful delivery within scope, on time, and on budget.
- Hands-On Development: Utilize your expertise in ETL development using SSIS to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines. Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between healthcare systems and data warehousing platforms.
- EDW Project Management: Manage and oversee EDW projects, including the design, architecture, development, and deployment of data warehousing solutions. Ensure that data integration processes meet both healthcare business and technical needs.
- Healthcare Domain Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of healthcare data (e.g., EHRs, HIEs, HL7, FHIR), as well as regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA), to ensure all data solutions adhere to industry standards.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with business analysts, developers, data architects, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, align on goals, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Agile/Waterfall Methodologies: Use Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall project management methodologies to plan, execute, and track progress. Facilitate regular project meetings, including sprint reviews, stand-ups, and stakeholder presentations.
- Data Integration & Optimization: Oversee the ETL process using SSIS, optimizing workflows and ensuring efficient data migrations, transformations, and loading between various data sources, including EHRs, clinical data systems, and EDW platforms.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide timely resolutions to project challenges.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including ETL mappings, project plans, schedules, and post-implementation reviews. Ensure comprehensive reporting to stakeholders and senior management.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of data during all stages of the ETL pipeline, conducting code reviews and overseeing system testing.
Qualifications:
- Overall 10+ years insdustry expereince.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on ETL development using SSIS and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) projects.
- Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for designing, developing, and deploying ETL solutions. Proficiency with SQL Server and related technologies (e.g., SQL Server Management Studio, SQL queries).
- Proven track record managing EDW projects, including experience in data warehousing architecture, data modeling, and managing data integration processes across multiple systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data (e.g., EHR, clinical data systems, health information exchanges) and healthcare regulations ( HIPAA, HITECH).
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project).
- PMP (Project Management Professional), Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications are highly preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to align on project goals and objectives.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and integrating them with healthcare data systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CCD) and their impact on data integration and warehousing solutions.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Snowflake) and integration with business intelligence (BI) tools for reporting and analytics.
- Understanding of data security and best practices for handling sensitive healthcare data.
