About the Client:
With over $800M in annual revenue and more than 100 years in business, my client is one of the most established and respected builders in the nation. They have built projects in every state and have developed a large book of business for repeat clients. Their work encompasses all commercial sectors including both ground up construction and interiors work. In addition to a large backlog, this firm provides incredible job security to it's employees and does not hire on a per-project basis, they look for long-term solutions. Due to growth, they are hiring for multiple traveling superintendent positions across the US.
The Position:
As a traveling superintendent you will be working on-site managing ground up construction while leading subcontractor scheduling, communication, safety, walkthroughs, meetings, and more. You will report directly to the VP/Director of Field Operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in subcontractor selection
- Analyzing project timelines and scheduling to ensure accurate deadlines
- Leading safety meetings and enforcing safety protocols on-site
- Communicating with project management team, clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and any other stakeholders
- Leading walkthroughs, inspections, and checking punch lists
- Reviewing & signing off on proposed change orders
- Establishing relationships with subcontractors to help ensure a smooth building process\
- Travel is required for this position
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years in a lead superintendent role
- Experience running projects over $10M in scope in the commercial sector, including all scopes
- Familiarity with project management software
- Ground up building experience
- Effective communicator
- Safety-minded
