We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and organized Nanny/Household Assistant for a temporary to permanent position working with two wonderful children (ages 11 and 9). The role combines childcare responsibilities with household management and personal assistant duties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Childcare
- Provide care and supervision to the children, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Safely transporting children from school
- Assisting with homework, providing academic support
- Collaborating with schools to manage educational plans and special needs accommodations
- Offering attentive emotional support and fostering a nurturing environment
- Organizing and coordinating belongings between multiple residences
- Maintaining an organized calendar system to track children's activities and schedules
- Organizing and managing activities, playdates, and transportation to sports events, parties, and other engagements
- Assisting in the daily care, nurturing, feeding and supervision of two children
- Tidying up and occasional laundry services as it pertains to the children
- Managing laundry related to the children’s clothing and help with any light household duties as needed
Household Management
- Preparing nutritious meals, including dinner and lunch prep
- Conducting grocery shopping to ensure well-stocked supplies
- Performing light cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy home environment
- Coordinating with the housekeeper, including placing orders and running errands
- Organizing and managing children's schedules and activities
- Facilitating transportation logistics between homes
- Maintaining open and clear communication with parents, and be a positive and collaborative team player
- Maintaining a clean and organized household by performing light housekeeping duties in children's areas and common spaces
Salary: $75,000-$85,000 annually plus monthly health stipend of $500. All salaries are Dependent On Experience and References, and all candidates must be comfortable submitting themselves for a Federal Background Check
Schedule: Hours during school year: 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM (household management) and 2:50 PM - 7:00 PM (childcare)
During summer: Live-In from Monday to Thursday, with housing provided, maintaining the same compensation structure
Requirements:
- Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Background in education a plus but not required
- Must be positive, energetic, and adaptable; willing to grow with the family and support their needs with a “can-do” attitude
- Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
- Knowledge of both first aid and CPR certification required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
- Valid Driver’s License, as well as a clean driving record, is required
- Legally able to work in the United States
