We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain our Azure infrastructure to support both new and existing applications. You’ll play a key role in planning, deploying, monitoring, and optimizing cloud environments, ensuring connectivity with other systems and data sources. This position also involves moderate application configuration work to ensure seamless software deployment and integration.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Monitor and maintain system health to ensure availability, performance, and stability.
- Manage and optimize Azure resources to meet business needs while ensuring cost efficiency.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
- Configure Azure networking components and manage cloud connectivity.
- Drive DevOps practices to enhance automation, sustainability, and repeatability.
- Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate infrastructure components seamlessly.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
- Expertise in Azure architecture and infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with networking concepts and Azure networking components.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to seek clarity and take initiative.
- Experience with SQL Server or SQL Azure databases.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
- Previous experience installing and maintaining ESRI’s ArcGIS software.
- Azure certifications are a plus.
