Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer with a minimum of 3 years in the aerospace industry to support purchasing and procurement functions on a short-term contract. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain principles, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen attention to detail. This role will focus on sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and components in alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure aerospace materials, components, and services, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize cost and meet quality requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (production, engineering, quality assurance) to forecast demand and ensure on-time procurement.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, contracts, and supplier interactions within ERP/MRP systems.
- Evaluate and select new suppliers as needed to support production needs and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of aerospace regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications in procurement or supply chain management, such as CPM or CPSM.
Contract Terms:
This is a temporary contract position with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
