We are looking for a highly motivated Ethanol Plant Engineer to join one of the leading developers in low-carbon fuels. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional passionate about sustainability and renewable energy to contribute to impactful projects in the clean aviation fuels industry! The first two years of this role will be fully remote, then requires relocation to Lake Preston, South Dakota.
Role Overview:
Position: Ethanol Plant Engineer
Industry: Renewable Energy (Low-Carbon Fuels)
Focus: Renewable alternatives to petroleum-based products like gasoline and jet fuel
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Operations Support: Troubleshoot plant systems and recommend equipment modifications to enhance operations.
- Capital Projects: Plan and execute projects related to process improvements and plant expansions.
- Documentation: Manage P&ID updates, operating procedures, and project files.
- Process & Equipment Expertise: Specialize in equipment sizing, instrumentation, safety protocols, and process controls for continuous operations.
What’s Required:
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Bio Systems preferred).
- Experience: 3-7 years in ethanol, chemical, or petrochemical environments.
- Skills: Proficiency in process engineering, project management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with start-up and commissioning, and day to day operations of the plant
