SOME JOB DUTIES:
1. Functions as a member of the department head’s management team in discussing and
reviewing overall departmental problems, priorities, and methods for addressing these
problems.
2. Leads and participates in legislative analysis activities performed by the department.
3. Develops and recommends approval of objectives, policies, and programs in financial,
data processing, budget administration, public relations, and personnel services areas.
4. Plans, organizes, and coordinates preparation of budgets. Evaluates the annual budget
request against goals established for the divisions and revenue projections.
5. Develops short- and long-range program plans for the department to meet objectives
established by the department head and the management team.
6. Thoroughly analyzes fiscal impact for programs and issues, requirements, and requests
for services.
11. Manages transportation administrative operations which includes grants, project
administration, budget preparation, accounting, financial analysis, purchasing, payroll,
revenue accounting and human resources.
12. Develops a five-to-ten-year cash flow for the transportation operating and capital
budgets.
16. Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, grant proposals, grant
letters, grant applications, budget documents, audit documents, policies, procedures, or
other documents.
