Audit Manager (Treasury & Liquidity)
Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Audit Manager (Treasury & Liquidity) for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.
Responsibilities:
- The Audit Manager (Treasury & Liquidity) is responsible for planning, scoping and developing the test plan, including incorporating the use of data analytics.
- Allocate resources and individuals in accordance with skills and schedules, to complete assignments effectively and efficiently within budget.
- Set clear quality expectations based on the bank’s audit services standards.
- Analyze and review process documentation to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency.
- Create and present audit reports that align with the bank’s risk appetite framework.
- Coach and mentor junior team members by taking an active role in training and development.
- Provide subject matter and industry related knowledge to support business partnership efforts.
- Manage timely and quality delivery of multiple tasks.
- Provide advisory services in the implementation of new systems, processes and changes to existing systems, standards and procedures.
- Ability to work independently while exercising judgement in risk-based assessments of a difficult or complex nature.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field or equivalent education and related training or experience.
- 6 - 8 years of banking, auditing or other relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge, ability and expertise in audit and other areas of banking and financial services.
- Deep understanding of risk management and process concepts.
- Ability to grasp and communicate the underlying concepts in complex information.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate root causes of problems.
- Proven ability to formulate and clearly communicate solutions based on a synthesis of information.
- Demonstrated strong proficiency in computer applications and Microsoft Office software products.
- Strong project management and advisory skills.
- Advanced degree preferred.
