The Opportunity 🚀
As a Senior Controls Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership in electrical power distribution, infrastructure, automation, and advanced process controls. Your innovative solutions will enhance operational excellence, focusing on energy efficiency, product quality, and operational effectiveness. This role offers the chance to mentor the next generation of electrical process control engineers while working with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead adoption and standardization of technology in electrical power distribution, infrastructure, and automation
- Analyze and incorporate emerging technologies to drive operational excellence
- Collaborate with R&D and process technology groups to develop new products and technologies
- Mentor and supervise electrical process control engineers
- Manage capital projects and implement innovative solutions
- Develop and maintain training programs for process controls engineers
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NFPA, FM Global, ISA)
- Drive operational integrity and performance through leadership skills
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering (Advanced degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in electrical process controls engineering, preferably in mining or similar heavy industry with pyro processes
- Expertise with Allen-Bradley PLCs and AVEVA/Wonderware HMIs
- Proficiency in OT networking (Cisco/Allen-Bradley based systems)
- Strong background in electrical design and computer drafting
- Experience with capital project management and implementation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
