Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Location: Onsite, Niskyuna, NY

What’s a typical day as a Renewable Energy Learning Center Facilities Support? You’ll be:
• Managing the Renewable Energy Learning Center buildings and providing lab support to technical instructors.
• Identifying facility maintenance needs, requesting quotes, negotiating pricing, and selecting vendors.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for vendors and ensuring they follow RELC rules.
• Conducting routine building maintenance, both inside and out.
• Tracking, maintaining, and ordering facility supplies.
• Assuring lab safety rules are always maintained and driving a site safety culture.
• Assisting in repairs of GE Wind Turbines and performing component replacements and troubleshooting.
• Performing administrative functions such as ordering tooling and parts, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with calibration and servicing requirements.
• Coordinating crews of students and demonstrating proper use of lab tools and equipment.
• Assisting instructors with student lab exercises as time allows.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have 4 years of facilities maintenance experience and an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent vocational training.
• Have experience in facility management and working with and managing vendors.
• Are familiar with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance and have a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements.
• Have mechanical knowledge and electrical aptitude.
• Are able to read electrical schematics.
• Have the ability and willingness to work at heights and possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Are able and willing to work staggered shift start times, if there’s a business need.
