TriStarr Talent is proud to represent a leading local technology firm specializing in top-tier IT managed services, process automation, software solutions, unified communications, and cybersecurity who is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to oversee and optimize their internal server infrastructure.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping technology strategies, enhancing security protocols, and leading key system implementations to support the company’s business objectives.
We are looking for someone to:
- Lead, mentor, and support team of two, while actively engaging in hands-on technical tasks.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals, ensuring their successful execution.
- Maintain data security standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, actively driving their implementation.
- Manage IT budgets and allocate resources efficiently, with direct involvement in procurement decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess IT needs and provide expert technical guidance.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks, developing strategies for network recovery and backup solutions.
- Ensure all IT operations comply with relevant laws, codes, and regulations.
What Qualifications are we looking for?
- 5+ years of experience in diverse IT operations including server/database administration, datacenter infrastructure (dedicated/cloud), and networking.
- 5+ years server support and optimization experience with Microsoft technologies (MS Server 2019/2022, Azure, MS 365, SQL Server, Hyper-V).
- 5+ years expertise in databases, database storage systems, and phone system administration.
- 2+ years of experience in IT supervisory roles or leading technical projects with skills in task prioritization, risk management, cost control, and meeting project deadlines.
Technologies: Microsoft Server 2019/2022 | Azure, Microsoft 365 | SQL Server | Networking technologies (e.g., Fortinet switches, access points, firewalls) | VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualized environments.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, OR equivalent experience (10+ years).
