Experience: Minimum 1 year of successful completion of an accredited MRI program or ARRT-R required
License: Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

- Understanding of anatomy and pathology
- Competence in all aspects of MRI, patient positioning, pulse sequence parameters, and magnet safety
Job Description:
- Obtain complete clinical history, gather examination data, and assess for contraindicating conditions.
- Follow established procedures for administering contrast media, ensuring patient safety.
- Ensure proper patient identification and review images for clinical acceptability.
- Organize schedule, time, and priorities to meet department needs.
- Prepare and administer contrast, checking patient's GFR and dosing of contrast.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using the Dynacad, if applicable.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist other technologists as needed.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment following infection control policies.
- Explain the purpose and nature of exams to patients to minimize anxiety and facilitate cooperation.
- Participate in the orientation and training of departmental employees.
- Produce acceptable images by following established exam protocols.
- Maintain MRI suite safely and restock linens and supplies.
- Transport and position patients for procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all health system policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
- Take on-call duties as necessary and perform other assigned duties.
