Our client, a key player in the automotive industry focused on electrification solutions, is seeking a Design and Development Engineer for high-voltage systems.
The Design and Development Engineer takes on strategically important projects for the development of HV connector systems.
Key Accountabilities:
- Development and design of innovative high-voltage connection systems, from the idea to series production (e.g., terminals, housings, charging inlets, and charging couplings)
- Elaboration and implementation of new development concepts based on your market knowledge, analyses, and future trends
- Coordination of design and development concepts with the product design team, product management, and other interdisciplinary functions
- Investigating and introducing innovative manufacturing technologies (e.g., EMPT, ultrasonic welding, automation, etc.)
- Leading root cause analysis using common problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Whys, fishbone, etc.)
Required Skills:
- Completed studies / degree in engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in product development of high-voltage connector systems in the automotive environment based on the IATF 16949 standard
- Strong knowledge of the application of Six Sigma / Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology in the development of technology products and processes
- Experience and knowledge in the manufacturing process of HV connectors (using DFM and FMEA) and corresponding industry standards (e.g., LV 214, USCAR 2, and LV 215)
Strong knowledge of English
