Their projects span across diverse sectors, from healthcare and education to commercial and industrial developments. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join their team and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of their projects.
Position Summary:
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will work closely with the Superintendent and project management team to oversee daily on-site operations. You’ll be responsible for supporting the smooth, safe, and efficient progress of construction activities, while maintaining quality standards and ensuring that project deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction activities on-site
- Oversee and direct subcontractors and trades to ensure quality and timely work
- Monitor project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved on time
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
- Conduct inspections to ensure work complies with project specifications, codes, and company standards
- Resolve issues promptly to keep the project on track
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project team members
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction, with an emphasis on field operations
- Experience on Healthcare or Education projects is preferable, but not required
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and scheduling
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software is a plus
