Our client, a multibillion-dollar leader in the industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Supervisor to lead and oversee electrical personnel. This critical role involves ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on leadership to electrical personnel, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Delegate tasks and manage workload distribution for a reliable workflow.
- Oversee and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical systems to minimize downtime.
- Manage both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, ensuring timely and quality execution.
- Coordinate with third-party electrical contractors to support in-plant projects.
- Utilize Rockwell Automation software to program, troubleshoot, and maintain systems.
- Develop HMI platforms using FactoryTalk View (FTView) or Wonderware.
- Troubleshoot and configure variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other control systems.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing setting, specifically focused on controls and automation.
- Expertise with Rockwell Automation software, including RSLogix 500, Studio 5000.
- Proficiency with FTView or Wonderware for HMI development.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and configure VFDs.
- Experience managing and guiding a team of electrical technicians and contractors.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience within a maintenance department.
- Proven experience diagnosing and improving process automation systems in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
- Experience utilizing data acquisition tools to analyze and report automation-related metrics.
- Development of maintenance and reliability teams, with a focus on preventative maintenance.
