The Senior Director, Global Portfolio Management provides senior leadership for the Global Product Management team within Fresenius Kabi's MedTech division, focusing on Apheresis and Plasma products. Developing and executing strategic, short- to mid-term marketing plans to drive global brand growth, overseeing product launches and lifecycle management, and providing strategic direction for R&D investments. The role is also responsible for ensuring competitive positioning and expanding market presence globally while leading and mentoring the product management team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Senior commercialization leadership position providing experienced, expert guidance and mentoring to all areas of MedTech without regard to direct reporting structure.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to drive global brand recognition and growth of Apheresis and Plasma within the MedTech business within Fresenius Kabi.
- Assist with budget responsibilities.
- Responsible for all commercialization activities in the launch, promotion and maintenance of Apheresis and Plasma products within the MedTech product portfolio. Interface with all regional commercial leaders to drive sales in key market opportunities.
- Understand the global markets for the key product areas within Apheresis and Plasma.
- This position must develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape globally and within regions to inform roadmap and development decisions. Monitor and interpret trends in transfusion. Execute market research as needed to capture relevant market requirements.
- Develop business cases for all project approval requests for funding of new product development efforts and large life-cycle management projects.
- Harmonize all commercialization processes across Apheresis and Plasma and support across all MedTech including assessment of global market size and share, competitive intelligence, business cases for new projects, prioritization of R&D investments, launch of new products (including global rate cards for pricing recommendations).
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Marketing or relevant discipline minimum. Master of Business Administration desired.
- 12+ years of experience in the medical device industry with at least 7 years of leadership/supervisory experience. Expert knowledge of the field with strong leadership skills.
- Expert knowledge of successful global product and development strategies, as well as strong business acumen including strong command of the overall global markets, trends, uncertainties, customers and the relationships with internal stakeholders--primarily commercial organizations across the globe.
- Must develop strong relationships with cross-functional team who support the directions and efforts of this position, including the broader R&D organization, finance, regulatory, clinical, communications and various corporate functions.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is a must
- Ability to travel internationally up to 20%
