Position Overview:
A Business Analyst in the field of mortgage technology, particularly with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics, lead the charge in understanding, analyzing, and improving the technological and operational aspects of mortgage lending processes. We are looking for an individual who can translate business and stakeholder requirements into technical specification for our development team. The individual will be responsible for assessing, analyzing, and improving technology solutions and business processes related to mortgage lending. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement of Loan Origination Systems. The Business Analyst will also play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions to drive efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including mortgage lenders, IT teams, and other relevant departments, to gather and document detailed requirements for mortgage technology projects.
- System Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of existing mortgage technology systems, with a specific focus on Microsoft Dynamics, to identify areas for enhancement and optimization.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline mortgage processes through technology and system enhancements. Provide recommendations for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Business Impact Assessment: Evaluate the potential impact of proposed technology changes on the mortgage lending business, including cost analysis, resource allocation, and ROI calculations.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data related to mortgage origination, underwriting, servicing, and other key processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including functional requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories, to communicate project objectives to development teams.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
- Change Management: Support the implementation of new technology solutions, including training and change management activities to ensure smooth adoption by end-users.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals and progress.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mortgage lending industry regulations and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in mortgage technology or financial services, with a deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
