Network Engineer (100% Remote- Palo Alto/Cisco/Data Center)
Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team. This engineer will be working in a fast paced, project based environment. They will serve as a senior escalation point for network troubleshooting and diagnosis issues while playing a key part in 2025 initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Help in a firewall refresh project utilizing Palo Alto firewalls
- Configuration, deployment, troubleshooting and upgrading of firewalls (mostly Palo Alto in this role)
- Utilizing Cisco hardware and equipment for routing and switching- BGP as primary routing protocol
- Experience implementing, designing, and monitoring/management of data center network and infrastructure for multiple sites
- Understanding of WAN network and establishing new sites/processes
- Ability to work independently but also in a collaborative team setting remotely
- Any cloud/network automation experience is a plus
