Job Summary
The Survey Crew Chief is responsible for collection of survey data for ALTA, boundary, topographic and tree surveys. Some Survey Crew Chief employees under this job description may be responsible for acquisition of remote sensing data using unmanned aerial vehicles, mobile LiDAR systems and/or terrestrial LiDAR systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises and trains up to 3 Survey Technicians from time to time.
- Responsible for safety, job planning, and execution of data collection activities.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Finding and accurately Surveying monuments and markers.
- Identifying site features relevant to survey type (e.g., utilities, storm and drainage structures, topographic features).
- Properly enter field data with feature and linework codes.
- Keep field notes.
Requirements:
- Driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather for extended periods.
- Occasional overnight travel and overtime.
