What You'll Do: Join Nucor Rebar Fabrication Lake Stevens! Our Post Tension Team is working on projects across the US West; extrude, shear, bundle, and ship post-tensioning cable in accordance with customer’s orders. You’ll work with a mentor who will train you on safely using all machinery. No experience is required.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Your Responsibilities
• Unload trailers and store material in storage bins.
• Operate shearline and payout post-tensioning cable equipment to cut cables to specific lengths.
• Operate extrusion line to coat post-tensioning cable.
• Manually move and/or operate hoist to move post-tensioning cables.
• Operate fork-lift.
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
• Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
Minimum Requirements: • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be age 18 or over
• Due to the operating conditions of the position, this is a safety sensitive position, therefore you must pass a drug test, including THC
Your Qualifications: • Able to read and comprehend basic safety and operational instructions
• Able to perform basic math for accurate bar measurements
Physical Demands: • Some heavy lifting may be necessary
• Working conditions can be noisy/ dusty/ hot/ cold
