Position Scope:
Under the direction of the manager, the Medical Technologist performs clinical testing in one or more of the
following areas: accessioning, serology, molecular and point of care.
Qualifications:
The following identifies the education, training and experience required to perform essential functions of the job.
Education & Certifications:
Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology or in one of the chemicals,
physical, biological sciences at an accredited college or university
Completion of three years of academic study with a minimum of 90 semester hours at an accredited
college or university in a curriculum involving biological or physical science
Medical Laboratory Technologist, American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
Must have Florida Laboratory supervisor s license or obtain it within 3 months
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
3+ years of clinical laboratory experience, highly preferred
Interest in working as part of a small and growing company, with awareness
about the opportunities and challenges that come with a highly adaptive environment
Ability to retain confidential information
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to present a professional image to management, staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Word, and LIMS
