Job Description:
- Perform scrub duties for interventional radiology, vascular, and pain procedures.
- Work with equipment such as the GE/Philips Azurion C-arm/portable C-arm and contrast.
- Maintain accurate monitoring and equipment setup.
- Conduct EKG lead placement and prep access site.
- Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
- Conduct procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, stent placement, and thoracentesis.
- Handle catheter/drain exchange, internal/external biliary drainage, renal artery stent placement, ureteral stent placement, carotid angiography, discogram, dialysis graft interventions, and upper and lower extremity angiography.
- Perform thrombolysis/thrombectomy, central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines), and endovascular interventions.
- Complete modules required pre-start and potentially during orientation.
- Participate in on-call duties every other week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 15:30-22:00 and Saturday 08:00-16:00).
- Work on-site for every other holiday.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with computed tomography, ultrasound, and IV starts.
- Capability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
- Familiarity with PACS, Siemens systems, and Cerner.
- Scrubs are provided by the facility.
