Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Specialty: Inpatient/Outpatient Rehabilitation
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour day shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 32 hours weekly
Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent inpatient experience required. Experience in a critical access facility is required. Travel experience is preferred.
License: Required for the location
Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Must-Have:
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Experience with CERNER EMR
- Must have personal vehicle due to lack of public transportation
- Willingness to work one of the following: Christmas Eve/Day and the following weekend, or New Year's Eve/Day and the following weekend
Job Description:
- Provide speech and language pathology services to patients of all ages with a focus on adults presenting neurological conditions.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for voice modulation, communication retraining, swallowing retraining, and cognitive retraining.
- Work with a high volume of patients, both inpatients and outpatients.
- Participate in non-billable orientation for 8 hours.
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays if needed.
- Submission of a relevant skills checklist (current within one year) and supervisory reference from within the past two years is required.
- Must be prepared to submit requested time off upon application upload, with no more than 5 days of time off accepted.
- Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
