Shift: 6AM-2:30PM OR 8:00AM-4:30PM
Payrate : $42/hr on w2 without benefits
Job Description:
Seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate II who will be part of the Seattle Pilot Facility (SPF) within Client Oncology's Process Development group. Within the SPF, this role will be primarily responsible for supporting the Downstream cell culture operations in our pilot-scale lab (up to 250L) to generate protein materials needed for cross-functional developments as well as GLP toxicology studies. This role will be expected to independently execute purification processes from harvest to final fill and to be cross trained in Upstream cell culture processes. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the entire monoclonal antibody (mAb) production process, to join a growing & dynamic team, and to significantly contribute to client Oncology's mission.
Responsibilities:
• Support protein material generation activities, including both purification and mammalian cell culture operations, from cell thaw to final formulated mAb.
• Escalate equipment or process issues as necessary. Help in troubleshooting and derivation of appropriate corrective action and resolution.
• Prepare buffer and media solutions to support material generation and process development runs.
• Perform equipment (e.g., bioreactor, purification skid, pH meters, and chromatography column, etc.) maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lab activities and work routinely with electronic data records and applications.
• Generate technical reports and present them in internal meetings.
• Purchase raw materials and consumables.
Qualifications:
Prefer BS or Associate degree with 2+ years exp
• Hands-on experience in purification process and operations, preferably at pilot or manufacturing scales
• Able to follow lab operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills.
• Team player, motivated and willing to learn and grow.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with lab software and/or electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
• Able to lift and move 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Weekend and holiday work is required when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiar with cell culture experience includes operating both bench-top glass vessel, large-scale single-use bioreactor systems, and associated activities.
• Proficient in lab automation.
• Proficiency with ELN and data management
• Biomanufacturing experience.
