This is an On-site position working at their data center, located outside of Downtown Houston.
Candidates will need to be local to Houston and if a candidate is selected for a 2nd interview it will be an in-person interview .

A Houston company is looking for a Data Center Server Administrator for a long term contract.
Summary:
This position will work with the team on implementation of server delivery services using standard tools to automate provisioning and configuration management. This position will also work to ensure all operational patches and baseline levels are maintained across all various platforms. This includes server infrastructure at our main datacenter, disaster recovery site, and field locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Build, and Maintain Data Center services solutions (Physical, server builds, server rack installation, life-cycle management, and decommissioning)
· Storage administration; provisioning, maintenance, capacity, and life-cycle management
· Perform system troubleshooting and repair in conjunction with vendors and service providers.
· Operate and maintain Server information in SolarWinds VMAN and Configuration Management as well as Asset Management and IPAM
· Enhance automation and configuration mgmt. following coding standards and tools for server builds and integration activities
· Delivery of IT service Management to ensure the timely delivery and resolution of incidents and problems.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
· Experience with VMware Administration / Configuration 6.x, 7.x, 8.x
· Experience with Microsoft / Linux Server OS implementation / configuration
· Experience with storage administration; NetApp, StoreOnce, Cohesity.
· Experience with HPE server hardware / blade Solutions / Storage arrays
· Experience with SolarWinds for server monitoring and availability
· Experience with scripting and automation routines for standardized deployments and configurations
· Experience with Infrastructure design, implementation, documentation, and disaster recovery
· Must be able to install, rack and cable server equipment
· Must follow change guidelines and after hour maintenance windows
