Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Pharmacy to join our team on a contract basis. As a travel pharmacy, you will provide high-quality pharmaceutical services in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community pharmacies. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care while exploring diverse locations across the country.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Dispensing: Ensure the accurate dispensing of prescription medications and over-the-counter products, adhering to all regulatory and safety protocols.
Patient Care: Provide guidance to patients on medication use, including dosages, administration, side effects, and interactions, fostering understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to develop and implement medication therapy management plans, resolving medication-related issues as needed.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and managing medications and supplies to ensure a seamless pharmacy operation.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures and participate in pharmacy audits to enhance medication safety and operational efficiency.
Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
Education: Relevant education in pharmacy practice or pharmaceutical sciences.
Licensure: Current pharmacy license in good standing; ability to obtain licensure in multiple states is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting, particularly in clinical or hospital environments, is preferred.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to different environments and patient populations.
