Job Description:
As a Partnership Tax Senior Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of tax professionals, overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns, and providing advanced tax consulting services for partnership clients. You will collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality work and excellent client service, while leveraging innovative tax solutions to meet client needs. Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage clients’ Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 704b accounts.
- Lead multiple client service teams on engagements, planning, executing, and completing tax projects across various industries.
- Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise for partnership structuring, entity formation, mergers & acquisitions, and more.
- Maintain and develop new business and client relationships, focusing on client satisfaction and retention.
- Mentor, train, and assess staff performance, contributing to year-end reviews and engagement outcomes.
- Research and consult on complex tax issues related to Sub-chapter K partnership taxation, utilizing tax software for return preparation and analysis.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities, providing expert advice and support.
- Actively participate in business development activities, including identifying opportunities, developing proposals, and pursuing new client engagements.
- Ensure active communication with clients to manage expectations and deadlines, strengthening client relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- CPA required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience, with a strong background in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience.
- Expertise in Sub-chapter K partnership taxation, including partnership structuring, entity formation, and mergers & acquisitions.
- Proficiency in US GAAP and technical knowledge of partnership and joint venture tax returns.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with business development and client relationship management.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
