Position Summary:
We're seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate (SRA), Associate Scientist, or Scientist with a strong background in protein sciences to support the company's efforts in early phase antibody engineering and drug discovery. The ideal candidate is an individual that enjoys a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently to support program goals and timelines.
This is a 6 month part-time contract role, estimated to be 15-20 hours per week. Hours are flexible (work can be done before or after core work hours or on weekends).
Responsibilities:
- Independently evaluate binding affinities of antibodies using biolayer interferometry (BLI) or surface plasmon resonance (SPR)
- Perform differential scanning fluorimetry (DSF) to rank filter monoclonal and bispecific antibodies
- Perform forced degradation stability studies on antibodies and downstream biochemical assays
- Potential to expand responsibilities to small-scale antibody production, purification, and QC
Qualifications:
- BS with 2 or more years or MS with 1 or more years or PhD with 0-2 years or more of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrable experience in protein characterization, including protein QC (HPLC), protein binding kinetics (SPR, BLI), and thermal stability assays (DSF)
- Experience in transient and stable mammalian cell culture and protein expression systems and purification (FPLC) is a plus
