Mechanical Production Engineer Role - Arizona
Role Description: The Engineer will oversee all integration activities supporting Integrated Module Production. This includes bonding to rigid substrates, module-to-module coupling, welding, and other production processes critical to space mission support. The engineer will lead, develop, and execute these processes within the Manufacturing Team to ensure current production components adhere to manufacturing processes and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop best practices and manufacturing methods for module-to-module mechanical and electrical connections, including parallel gap resistance welding.
- Establish standard processes for panel procurement and internal processing based on customer requirements.
- Define standard procedures for module-to-panel bonding.
- Design and construct shipping containers for completed assemblies.
- Propose continuous improvement methods, including automation, to optimize integration costs and schedules.
- Lead integrated product production, ensuring adherence to production schedules and deadlines.
- Oversee integration facility operations, specifying area requirements and maintenance plans.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Processing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with solar power products or space hardware
