Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our DevSecOps team and contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our CI/CD processes. This role is essential to support Eligibility Supporting Technology applications across development, testing, training, and production environments. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in automation, configuration management, and advanced CI/CD solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and optimize batch jobs and operations.
- Analyze existing technologies and develop improvement plans for expansion and optimization.
- Implement and enhance advanced CI/CD solutions, including developing, coding, testing, building, installing, configuring, and maintaining IT solutions.
- Propose and implement process improvements to streamline code deployments and reduce errors.
- Use configuration management tools to automate updates and fixes across various environments.
- Document procedures and processes to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Provide support for production and non-production environments, including release and sprint activities.
- Develop enterprise-level solutions for existing automation while creating new automation solutions.
- Prepare proposal plans for review and approval.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in automating complex enterprise IT environments using IaC, CaC, and CI/CD tools, integrating them into unified solutions for environments such as IBM WebSphere, MQ, Oracle, and AWS.
- 10+ years in designing and implementing scalable, repeatable, and recoverable automation solutions.
- Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible Automation Platform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Liquibase.
- 8+ years of experience in programming/scripting languages like Python, GoLang, Shell, Ruby, Bash, and Perl.
- 8+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Kubernetes platforms (PODMAN, Docker, OpenShift, Rancher) and packaging tools like Helm and Kustomize.
- 8+ years of experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- 8+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions based on the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of development experience with Java, J2EE, Java Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, JSF/Struts (JavaServer Faces, Apache Struts Framework), and XML.
- Familiarity with WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, Java, SQL tools (e.g., PL/SQL developer, SQL plus), LDAP, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
