Job Description:
The Aerojet Rocketdyne segment of L3Harris is seeking a Project Manager to lead teams and drive initiatives within our Manufacturing Engineering department at our Camden, AR facility. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering results that have a direct impact on organizational goals and performance. This position is a high visibility role, reporting to the engineering director and will have significant opportunity to make a lasting and transformative impact to the business.
Essential Functions:
Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve departmental goals, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Drive initiatives from conception through completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Collaborate effectively with various internal departments, as well as external customers and stakeholders.
Communicate cross-functionally to align project objectives with company strategy and to ensure transparency and engagement.
Present project statuses and outcomes confidently in front of customers and executive leadership.
Identify risks and issues early, developing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and implementing best practices.
Create Statements of Work (SOWs) and other technical writing documents to drive process changes and improvements.
Ability to obtain a US Secret Secruity Clearence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 9 years prior experience in project management. Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience in project management. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in project management.
2 years experience in project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Preferred Additional Skills:
PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proficient in project management software and tools; as well as Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
