We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of high-end custom homes from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing on-site construction activities, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and upholding safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in custom home building, a strong understanding of high-end finishes, and a passion for delivering superior results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction on custom home projects, ensuring adherence to timeline, budget, and quality standards.
- Team Coordination: Schedule, supervise, and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship, conducting regular inspections to confirm work meets project specifications and design expectations.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with all OSHA regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Problem Solving: Quickly resolve on-site issues, coordinating with architects, engineers, and designers to address challenges and make necessary adjustments.
- Budget Management: Monitor expenditures, manage resources effectively, and prevent cost overruns.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of daily activities, progress, and any changes to the project plan.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years as a Superintendent in custom or luxury residential construction, with a proven record of managing high-end projects.
- Education: High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficient in scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and project management tools.
- Understanding of blueprint reading and specifications.
- Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification and other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
