Summary
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer at GoerTek Santa Clara office to work on consumer electronics optical products. The engineer in this position serves as the primary technical point of contact and in-house expert for a wide range of products and acts as the interface between the company and its customers. The Electronics Engineer will guide the electronic product development process by working with our factory R&D team, production engineering, and other teams to introduce new products, improve design performance, and solve EE related issues arising in production. Other duties may be assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit the customer on a weekly basis to present the status of the project, get the requirements/problems of customer, co-work with customers and internal R&D team to find the solution and provide quick feedback to customers (U.S.).
- Guide and assist the Goertek R&D and engineer team to satisfy customers’requirements; provide technical training to resellers, distributors, and internal personnel.
- Relate Electronic design work in partnership with the R&D team – schematic design, layout /DFM review, SI/PI result review, and optimize performance.
- System-level problem solving-failure analysis, root cause & corrective action proposal, provide detailed FA report summaries and present finding with clear summaries and takeaways.
- Support system bring up and DV issue debug.
- Introduce new related electronic products solution and assist R&D Team to earn key design win projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years EE experience plus related experience in electronic product design.
- Deep understanding and rich experiences in EE related design.
- Hands-on experiences in prototype, debug, and functional verification.
- Experience in schematic designing (baseband/power/high speed signal/audio) of AR/VR/Phone/ etc.
- Proficient with board level and system level design verification and FA (power/bus signal/high speed signal/audio/sensor/camera/display/EMI/ESD).
- Proficient in working with cross functional FW/PD/AE/RF/SMT/FATP team partners.
- Proficient with PCB and RFPC layout design and review.
- Proficient with SI/PI simulation and review SI/PI report, ability to FA SI/PI issue would be preferred
- Proficient with various communication protocols:MIPI,PCIE,USB,DP,SPMI,SPI,I2C,I2S
- Proficient with Python script to create automation testing would be preferred.
- Proficient with related SMT process(solder paste/reflow/hotbar/underfill/laser solder) would be preferred.
- Good Written and verbal communication skills, including project planning, documentation of technical requirements, and technical presentations.
- Fluent in conversational Mandarin and English is highly desired.
- Bachelor of Science and master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Travel to our HQ at customers’ request.
- The base pay range for this role is between $127,029and $177,840 annually and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
