Summary:
The Corporate Banking Relationship Manager IV plays a key role in enhancing client engagement and maximizing product penetration. This position involves promoting and cross-selling banking products and services, with the goal of nurturing and developing new client relationships, boosting bank revenues, and identifying both current and potential business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of high-quality, complex corporate relationships.
- Demonstrate expertise in handling a variety of complex commercial loans, including asset-based loans (ABL), local participations (both purchased and sold), insured receivables financing, EX-IM, and foreign risk mitigation, as well as owner-occupied real estate loans for companies generating over $30 million in revenue.
- Cross-sell additional bank products to maximize client relationships.
- Understand and enhance the share of wallet for each client, ensuring retention and increased lifetime value.
- Actively engage in external calling programs and networking events to promote the bank’s image as a leading commercial lender and to forge new business relationships.
- Exercise sound judgment in approving overdrafts and managing uncollected funds.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and the loan committee.
- Maintain regular contact with clients, meeting at least quarterly at their business locations.
- Support the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) lending initiatives and participate as a board member in a non-profit organization.
- Assist junior officers in analyzing and evaluating credit relationships.
- Prepare loan committee presentation packages.
- Review client depository activities to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Implement preventive measures to ensure adherence to current rules, regulations, and internal policies related to BSA, the USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and other AML-related issues.
Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, banking, finance or accounting.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
10 years as a commercial lending officer, managing complex and diversified lending relationships. Experience in asset based lending and in trade related lending is required. Successful demonstrated track record of business development.
