The Role
The Logistics/Planner is responsible for performing his/her duties conscientiously and for ensuring the fulfilment of the agreed targets in the following areas:
- Supports L-Nutra to perform KPI objectives in alignment to sourcing/planning strategies, and processes.
- Identify, research and evaluates the organization’s standards of process, demand, price, quality, timing, and reliability.
Duties include but are not limited to the execution of activities for cost reduction, supplier sourcing, planning, demand planning, inventory analysis, purchase order placement & maintenance, cost/price analysis, documentation, administration, logistics of shipment, and interface with functional teams within the organization.
JOB DUTIES:
- Optimize the supplier portfolio in the areas of all spend, sales & marketing services, production costs for services, planning, inventory & demand, logistics, and all manufacturing related spend and activities.
- Prepares RFQ’s, places purchase orders, monitors purchase order progress, creates work orders, advises management and project personnel on status.
- Data management of purchase orders, item numbers, inventory, planning, and work orders within NetSuite.
- Works with Logistics Manager to support with scheduling of shipments, tracking of shipments, receipt of shipments, and documentation for all shipments.
- Adhere to all procurement, planning, and logistics department guidelines and procedures.
- Work in additional projects as assigned by Operational Management.
- Work with 3PL to schedule kitting of product and management of inventory.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Critical Knowledge:
- High School or bachelor's degree (commercial) or procurement experience of 2-5 years
- IT knowledge, mainly MS excel skill level (pivot, tables, VLOOKUP etc.) – NetSuite skills is an advantage.
