Senior Account Executive – East Coast USA

Position Overview:
The Senior Account Executive, USA, will play a critical role in driving commercial growth across the East U.S. and Canada, working directly with channel partners and targeting key accounts in human genetics, oncology, and pathology molecular labs. This role is designed for an entrepreneurial sales professional with deep expertise in genomics or bioinformatics, a well-established network in the East Coast market, and a proven track record of success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a strategic sales plan to expand market presence in East Coast.
- Identify and secure new business with private and public molecular labs, including hospitals and research institutions.
- Build relationships with senior decision-makers in target accounts across human genetics, oncology, and molecular pathology sectors.
- Partner closely with local channel teams to drive sales performance and optimize market penetration.
- Work collaboratively with Customer Success teams to ensure a smooth customer journey, from initial testing to routine use of the platform.
- Gather and communicate market insights, providing competitive analysis to guide product development and marketing efforts.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings to enhance brand awareness.
- Coordinate with product and technical teams to ensure customer needs are met and product enhancements are implemented.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
- Proactively engage with regulatory and product teams to address any market-specific adaptations required for North American expansion.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics, or a related scientific field.
- 5-7+ years in a senior commercial role within the U.S. genomics or bioinformatics markets, with a successful record of revenue growth.
- Expertise in NGS, bioinformatics solutions, or similar genomic technologies; experience in human genetics and oncology is advantageous.
- Strong network in the genomics, oncology, and pathology sectors within North America.
- Skilled in managing complex sales cycles and working with channel partners.
- In-depth understanding of U.S. and Canadian healthcare systems, including regulatory and reimbursement landscapes.
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex genomic and bioinformatics solutions to a diverse audience.
- A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment.
- Willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory (up to 50%).
