Job Summary
As a Data Analyst / Data Engineer, you will enhance and optimize data systems on-site to support our AI/ML initiatives. Collaborating closely with Marines, you’ll streamline data entry and management, ensuring systems are user-friendly and efficient. Your work directly impacts the speed and effectiveness of aircraft maintenance, bridging advanced technology with practical applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead data transfer operations and develop/maintain data pipelines and workflows
- Manage SQL databases, including creating indexes and querying for analysis
- Utilize Azure Databricks and Data Factory to optimize workflows
- Support data scientists with clean, organized, and timely data
- Automate processes to streamline data collection and management
- Improve data collection, storage, and retrieval for efficient system operation
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years of relevant experience, or 6 years without degree
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
- Proficiency in SQL (2+ years) and Python; programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience with Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), is a plus
- AWS Professional or Specialty Certification (or the ability to obtain one) is a plus
- Experience with machine learning and AI technologies like neural networks and anomaly detection, is a plus
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Elasticsearch, is a plus
- Familiarity with data quality assurance and have experience addressing data quality issues, is a plus
