A leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an EHS Lead to oversee their EHS programs at one of their key manufacturing facilities in the Red Bluff, CA area. Reporting directly to the CEO, the EHS Lead will be responsible for all aspects of the site-based EHS and Quality programs, policies, training and compliance.
The Role:
- Oversee EHS regulatory compliance at the plant, including OSHA, EPA, air and stormwater permits, waste management, and safety programs
- Coordinator/ oversees all onboardings and trainings on Quality and EHS procedures.
- Build relationships with operations leaders and employees to continually develop the safety culture, and integrate health and safety into efficient manufacturing processes
- Conducts workplace environmental, health, safety, and quality inspections and audits
- Promotes continuous improvement efforts in the EHS function, integrating tactical and strategic EHS planning
- Implement quality assurance programs and processes to monitor and improve performance
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related technical field preferred
- 3+ years’ progressive EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of EHS programs, policies, permits and compliance related to air, water, hazardous waste, RCRA, LOTO, PPE, IH
- Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously
