About the Role:
As a
Med Surg Neuro RN, you will provide comprehensive care to ill, injured, and recovering adults, applying your clinical expertise in the treatment and management of neurological and surgical patients. In this role, you will play a vital part in advocating for patient safety, managing treatment plans, and ensuring a high standard of care in line with hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze comprehensive data pertinent to patients' health or conditions.
- Advocate for patient needs as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
- Create and implement individualized care plans based on clinical assessments.
- Educate patients and their families on treatments, medications, and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of time, supplies, and equipment to maintain care efficiency.
- Uphold patient safety standards and respond promptly to patient concerns.
Required Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience.
- Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to the start date.
- Education: Nursing Diploma or ASN required, BSN preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required before the start date. NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a neurological or surgical setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple patient needs.
